Network Design and Configuration for a Medium-Sized Company

May 2024

Designed and configured a comprehensive computer network for a medium-sized company using Cisco products. The network infrastructure included a cable modem, WRT300N wireless router, and 2960-24TT switch to provide both wired and wireless connectivity. Wired connectivity was established using copper straight-through cabling, with DHCP assigned IP addresses for the desktops of the receptionist, recruiting manager, office manager, and testing lab. Wireless connectivity was configured with DHCP for recruiters, sales, and client managers. Additionally, copper straight-through cabling was used to connect the FTP server, email server, and two printers, ensuring seamless integration and efficient network performance.

Cloud-Integrated Camera System & Network Firewall Configuration for a Retail Store

Successfully led the installation of a cloud-integrated camera system and configured the network firewall for a retail store. Utilized Ubiquiti UniFi cameras to provide high-definition surveillance, ensuring comprehensive coverage and real-time monitoring. Selected this brand for its cloud and local storage integration, enabling secure storage and remote access to footage. Configured a firewall to enhance network security and adjusted wireless router settings to prevent unauthorized access.

PC Diagnostics, Troubleshooting, and Repair

October 2021

Successfully troubleshooted a PC exhibiting signs of malware infection. Diagnosed temperature control issue due to dust. Opened PC and used compressed air to clean the fan and internal components. Utilized Malwarebytes antivirus software to scan and remove detected malware. Configured antivirus settings to meet the end user’s specific requirements and provided education on preventative measures against future infections. Enhanced PC performance through the use of CCleaner software and adjusted the minimum processor state percentage. Additionally, optimized internet browsers by adding shortcuts and installing plugins to protect against malware and advertisements.
